16th Street Theater’s “Blizzard ’67” Earns ABC News Feature, WDCB Radio 90.9 FM Nod

Last Thursday, January 26, marked 50 years since the Chicago blizzard—which inspired 16 Street Theater’s current play, Blizzard of ’67. Chicago received a whooping 23 inches of snow over just two short days! Midway International Airport recorded 53-mph wind gusts and some snow drifts were as high as 6 feet in certain areas.

ABC 7 News came out and spoke with Ann Filmer about the play and the playwright behind the show, Jon Steinhagen. Even better, the show has been extended through to March 4!

Catch the 16th Street Theater’s interview at the 2:21 minute mark in the video below. Check out the original ABC 7 News article here.

The show received a stamp of approval from Dueling Critics Kelly Kleiman and Jonathan Abarbanel on WDCB radio 90.9 FM. Listen to their review of Blizzard ’67 starting at 22:30.
