BIG Publicity on The Veltway

The Veltway has been getting some great publicity just over the past day! Both Autre Monde Cafe & Spirits and Big Guys Sausage Stand were featured on WGN cooking up signature dishes. Autre Monde mixologist, Becci Visconti West, was also featured in the Chicago Tribune as a part of a fun drink creation challenge inspired by the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. Both businesses also have their own can’t-miss events going on THIS weekend!

Big Guys Sausage Stand owner, Brendan O’Connor made each of the WGN Morning hosts their own signature homemade sausage. Brendan also named WGN Around Town host Ana Belaval “Queen of Sausage” in honor of it being time for Big Guys 4th Annual Sausage Fest.

This years Sausage Fest will feature the same great energy, fun activities, and fantastic homemade sausage that Big Guys has been known for year-after-year. Come out this Saturday for great live local music, a sausage eating contest, and a meat raffle – all for FREE!

On WGN’s Lunchbreak Autre Monde’s chef, Dan Pancake, made his personal recipe of Lamb Hash. This Saturday Autre Monde is actually hosting a Mediterranean Grilling Class co-hosted by Chicago area meat-specialists, Carnivore.

The Chicago Tribune article “8 Cocktails to Make Before Seeing Fantastic Four” featured Autre Monde’s bartender, Becci Visconti West, and her drink “Mr. Fantastic Blue”. We think Becci did a great job and her creative cocktail looks delicious!
