Berwyn Public Library

The Berwyn Public Library is a vital, valuable resource committed to serving the informational, educational and recreational needs of our community by offering timely materials and programming for adults and children of all ages.

Berwyn's library touts the 8th highest circulation of the 81 public libraries in its library system.  But, it is about more than books.  The cornerstone of its mission is to provide patron-oriented library service that promotes both life-long reading and personal growth. This is achieved by a rich offering of story times, class visits, and youth and adult reading programs; free access to assorted online databases; approximately 30 dedicated patron internet computers; computer classes and timely and diverse programming for adults, children and families.

In addition, the library has an extensive literacy center, well suited to the ESL (English as a Second Language) programs it presents.

The library maintains a collection of up-to-date adult and children’s books in English and Spanish, movies, audio books, periodicals and music. It also makes deliveries to permanently or temporarily homebound residents and offers an early childhood literacy program for toddlers, preschoolers, parents and childcare providers. Additionally, in an effort to share costs and resources, the library partners with other community organizations to offer many programs throughout Berwyn.
