As the economic development arm for the City of Berwyn, the BDC is positioned to find creative ways to make your concept work. Berwyn's strong consumer demand, lower taxes and business-friendly environment has allowed the City to flourish despite the national economic downturn. While many communities have reduced their economic development activities, Berwyn has prioritized investment in the business community and its infrastructure and remains a dominant player in the Chicagoland market.

For over 25 years, the BDC has supported new business attraction and preserved existing businesses with our dynamic financial incentives, site selection assistance, expedited permitting, marketing programs, special events and business services.

Score|Chicago, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), works closely with the Berwyn Development Corporation to promote the development and growth of local businesses. Working from the BDC's offices, Score|Chicago provides free small business mentoring from volunteer executives and business owners with years of successful experience. Score|Chicago also holds low-cost workshops and seminars at varying locations throughout Berwyn and Cook County. Local mentoring sessions are available by appointment at scorechicago.org on the 2nd Mondays at Morton College and 4th Mondays at the BDC.
