Berwyn making strides to become bike-friendly

The City of Berwyn is making strides to become more pedestrian- and bike-friendly with the help of a grant from the Cook County Department of Public Health and technical assistance from the Active Transportation Alliance. The grant covers projects such as bike parking and street signage.

While still in the planning stages, the City of Berwyn hopes to use the grant to make healthy choices easier for its citizens by improving area parks and promoting cycling and walking as alternatives to driving.

In addition, Morton High School District 201 received a grant to promote healthier lifestyles for its student population.
